Law firm Gordons specialises in the retail sector, acting for a range of retailers including B&M, Freeman Grattan, Greenwoods, HSL, Iceland, Morrisons, Nisa, Original Factory Shop and Pavers.
Brand8 PR was tasked with undertaking PR and content marketing activity to support the firm’s ongoing expansion within the retail sector.
Brand8 PR proposed and managed independent in-depth research into the future of value retail amongst retailers and retail intermediaries.
The results of the research were presented at a seminar featuring a panel of retail experts from Iceland, Buy It Direct and Elmwood, with media coverage being achieved regionally and also nationally in The Telegraph.
Profile raising activity is also undertaken for Gordons partner and retail specialist, Andy Brian (pictured), on an ongoing basis.
This has seen him comment on topical issues in national trade titles including The Grocer and Retail Week, as well as The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Independent, Daily Mail and Mail Online.
Content marketing work undertaken by Brand8 PR featured blogs on the Gordons website from Andy Brian and independent third parties, such as David Sables, CEO of retail management consultancy Sentinel. The resultant search engine optimised content is amplified via the firm’s and contributors’ social media channels.
Over a 12-month period, Gordons secured six new retail clients through professional services PR activity.
These included value retail brand GHM! (Guess How Much!), value fashion brand Pep & Co, Charles Tyrwhitt menswear, Wren Kitchens, electrical goods retailer Ebuyer.com and convenience stores Budgens.
Our integrated activity with Gordons has included working with the firm to create the following video, featuring Andy Brian discussing Gordons’ distinct approach to retail:
“Brand8 PR plays an important role in supporting our business development activity as we continue to expand within the retail sector.
“They are fast, accurate and provide ideas that work. They plan well, don’t over complicate, get things done and are always on the look-out for opportunities that benefit us.”
